Why we Love big Breasts

When it comes to breasts are you the guy who fancies a voluptuous, curvy rack, or are you more than satisfied with a handful? Your answer may reveal something about your sense of financial security, according to psychologist Esslin Terrighena.

Evolutionary theorists suggest that the attractive value of boobs is rooted in their reflection of youth and fertility. Biologically speaking, sperm is cheap. While women spend nine months baking the metaphorical bun, men typically recuperate within the hour, ready to continue the spread of their DNA with the next best mate.

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, such an effective mating system made it unlikely for men to hang around long enough to raise the successful consequences of their…endeavors. Accordingly, men needed to pick healthy partners with good genes and reliable access to resources – factors that enhanced the likelihood of the offspring surviving to pass on their lineage. The signpost that helped to determine such adequate female suitors? Boobies.

Fatty tissue in breasts play a key role in the storage of calories and it takes a strong back to keep those puppies up. Thus, large breasts indicated to our prehistoric hunter that the woman in question had access to plentiful food supplies and sufficient physical strength to achieve healthy infant development.

But how does this translate into the chest size affinities of our men today? Turns out your preferences may still be resource-driven. At a primal level, studies have shown that hungry men are drawn to larger boobs than satiated men (which can explain why you may have found yourself told off on date night for exhibiting an unsubtle weakness for the busty waitress).

More profoundly, at a secondary level, your craving for breasts may be shaped by your finances. Research has revealed that men with low income and less financial security are inclined to show a fondness for bigger breasts, while high-income earners tend to favour smaller bosoms. Perhaps the tingly joy of losing yourself in a curvaceous bust may in reality simply reflect the wave of relief that washes over you for having found shelter in a resource-heavy lady.

So, take heed men; if you’ve become increasingly drawn to large breasts (I mean more than usual), maybe it’s time to seek a more profitable financial position, or at least have a snack.
